Politics

Politics...

Once Sonia Gandhi went to a school to interact with the children
there. After a brief talk she asked if anyone had any questions. One
boy raised his hand.

Sonia: "What's your name"?
Boy : "RAHIM"
Sonia: "What are your questions"?
Rahim: "I've 3 questions...

1.Why did you attack & kidnap Baba Ramdev without approval of Court?
2.Why there is no punishment to KASAB as yet?
3.Why does Manmohan singh & the Congress party not support Baba
against corruption?

Sonia: "You are an intelligent student Rahim."

Just then the recess bell rang.

Sonia: "Oh students, we wil continue after the recess is over".

After the recess...

Sonia: "Ok children where were we? So, anybody wants to ask a question"?

RAM raises his hand.

Sonia: "What's your name"?
Ram: "I'm Ram and I've 5 questions...

1. Why did you attack Baba without approval of the court?
2. Why no punishment to Kasab as yet?
3. Why does Manmohan Singh not support the fight against corruption?
4. Why did the recess bell ring 20 mins before the time?
5. Where is Rahim? :)

Sarsanghachalak Ma. Sri Mohan Bhagwatji's message to Pujya Baba Ramdev ji

The news of Pujya Baba Ramdev deteriorating health and hospitalisation has caused great concern in the whole country. People of the country are greatly beholden to Baba for his relentless campaign against corruption and black money that has awakened and inspired millions of citizens and stirred up their innate patriotism.

At a time when the country needs his guidance the most it is unimaginable that the Baba is lying in a hospital bed weakened by resolute fasting for more than a week. The cause of Dharma he has taken up needs his active guidance. Therein lies the good of the country.

Hence I prayerfully appeal to Baba Ramdev ji to call off his fast soon and rejoin his movement for national regeneration. Although coming from me I can see this appeal reflecting the strong sentiments of millions of countrymen and I hope that Baba would certainly respond positively to their sentiments and feelings.

Sarsanghchalak Mohanji Bhagwat speaking at Nagpur on 6.06.2011

Corruption is not the issue of system change. System change results from social transformation. If we transform the system, then new ways of corruption will be explored in that system. Sangh is doing the work of social transformation. It does not want anything else. It is not concerned with which whom the power rests,” thus Sarsaghchalak Mohanji Bhagwat gave a straight-forward reply to the allegations on sangh parivar about Baba Ramdev's agitation.

He is speaking at a valedictory function of third year Sangh Shiksha Varg at Nagpur. Kanchi Kamkoti Peeth Shankaracharya Jagadguru Jayendra Saraswati was prominently present to bless the occasion. Renowned industrialist from Vijaywada (Andhra Pradesh) and National Vice president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Dr Gangraju was the chief guest.

Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohanji Bhagwat flayed the Central Government’s move to suppress Baba Ramdev’s agitation that triggered the sentiments of a common man against corruption. Criticizing the unruly behavior of the government, Dr Bhagwat said that this is a blot on governance. We all are members of a family. The problem is also ours. We could have found a peaceful solution to the problem. Government should not have broken the dialogue process, but it could have given a time-bound programme to resolve the issue. Dr Bhagwat was addressing the valedictory function of Tritiya Varsha Sangha Shiksha Varga at Nagpur.

Dr Bhagwat’s address that lasted for about half an hour was mainly focused on the issue of Baba Ramdev’s agitation. He expressed his anger against the government in a very decent manner and cited the example of Chhattrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s mode of governance while guiding the swayamsevaks.

Corruption that has irked the countrymen, cannot be eliminated just by changing the system. Corruption is not the problem of system alone, but it is more concerned with the ethics and mentality of the society. People like Baba Ramdeo, Anna Hajare should be allowed to create awareness in the society and teach values. That way these problems can resolved. System-change results from social transformation. Only the society that is conscious about individual character can put an end to such unethical practices. RSS has been consistently doing this work of social transformation right from its day-first.

Value-based conduct comes by practicing good habits. RSS is the name of the process of cultivating good habits. In order to maintain good habits, daily RSS shakha is essential.

RSS is not concerned with whom the power rests. RSS is interested in the development of society and inculcating values in the society. This value-based society will then create power and keep a control over it. RSS aims at bringing social awakening by practicing good conduct and for that setting its example before the society, said Dr Bhagwat.

Sarsanghchalak Mohanji Bhagwat is speaking. On the dais is sitting: Varg Karyawah Sashikant Dikshit, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati, Chief guest Dr D Ganaraju and Mahanagar Sanghachalak Dr Dilip Gupta
Highlighting the importance of regular shakha, Dr Bhagwat said, “Even if you roam around the world, you will not get anything. You have to come to the sangh shakha for the change in the society, at last. Hence regular shakha can only bring social transformation.”

Manmohan Vaidya ;The Barbaric atrocities committed by Police.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh
Keshav Kunj, Jhandewala, New Delhi- 110 055

The Barbaric atrocities committed by Police, at the behest of Central Government, on the thousands of peaceful and non-violent demonstrators sitting at Delhi’s Ram Lila Grounds is highly condemnable, shameful and shocking. The thousands of people who were on an indefinite fast since morning of June 4, 2011 under the banner of Bharat Swabhiman Aandolan led by Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev were demanding action against corruption and a law to get Black Money back to India that has been, over several years, deposited in tax havens abroad.
Lathi-charge, firing tear gas shells and forceful eviction by the Police on these peaceful and non-violent demonstrators at late in the night reminds us of the black days of Emergency imposed by the then Congress government. The brazen and cowardly attacks by Police on the demonstrators that did not even spare women, children and elderly only shows that the present government has no regard for the people’s sentiments.

Police atrocities on peaceful demonstrations worse than Emergency Days

Police atrocities on peaceful demonstrations worse than Emergency Days

New Delhi (June 5, 2011): In an unprecedented and unfortunate move the Central government arrested Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev from the Ram Lila Grounds at Delhi. The arrests made at around 1:30 am on June 5 were followed by barbaric atrocities committed by Police on the thousands of supporters--- which included women, children and elderly--- of Baba Ramdev. The Police lathicharged on the people taking rest fired tear gas shells and forcibly removed people from the Ram Lila grounds.

The people sitting on the Dharna, who had come from all over India, were on an indefinite fast along with Baba Ramdev demanding that government make laws to bring back Black Money stashed away at Tax havens abroad.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh condemns this barbaric police action on people who were demonstrating peacefully to bring back the Black Money stashed in tax havens abroad. This only shows that the present government is not serious at all on the issue on bringing black money back to India and is resorting to dictatorial suppressive tactics on peacefully demonstrating people. This is unfortunate and highly condemnable. The Police atrocities are worse than that committed during emergency days.

“Everything was absolutely fine till 11 pm so what happened all of a sudden? Abruptly, the police lathicharged and fired tear gas shells on Baba Ramdev and his supporters who were taking rest at the Ram Lila Grounds. This barbaric action will have a larger impact and people are not going to take things lying down. This movement will gather further momentum. This indeed is a black day for Indian democracy,” said Shri Ram Madhav, Member of centeral executive RSS.

Shri Madhav further added that RSS will look at ways to help all those vulnerable people who have been forcibly evicted from the canopy tents at Ram Lila Grounds. These people who had come from various parts of India were staying inside the canopy tents erected at the Ram Lila Grounds and now have no place to go.

Four ministers woo Ramdev, but he won't call off fast

Four ministers woo Ramdev, but he won't call off fast

New Delhi, June 01, 2011

The Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal and two other ministers met Baba Ramdev at the Delhi airport on Wednesday in a bid to persuade the yoga guru to call off his proposed fast from June 4 against corruption and black money stashed abroad, activists in
the movement said.

Besides P. Mukherjee and Kapil Sibal, Parliamentary Affairs Minister P.K. Bansal and Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahay also met Ramdev, the activists added. Discussions with Baba will continue, said Sibal after the meeting.

Baba Ramdev raised serious issues impacting the country and the government will seriously consider then, he said.

The yoga guru, however, said his indefinite fast against corruption will continue and "one crore" people will join him.

Top officials, including Cabinet Secretary Mr. K.M. Chandresekhar, were also part of the government team.

The initial plan was for Mr. Mukherjee to meet Baba Ramdev at the former's North Block office. However, he rushed to the airport to meet Baba, who arrived around noon.

Activists in the Ramdev movement said there was "no plan as of now" to drop the fast to be staged at the spacious Ramlila grounds in the national capital. Ramdev will conduct his fast at Jantar Mantar in the heart of the capital.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had sent a letter to Baba Ramdev Tuesday evening, urging him to call of the fast.

Baba Ramdev announced the fast demanding urgent government action to recover the black money stashed away in foreign banks.

Meanwhile, hectic preparations - including the erection of a huge tent to accommodate 20,000 people - were in progress at the Ramlila grounds for Saturday's fast.
