"Bharat Parikrama PadYatra" completed its successful one year on August 8, 2013. Shri Sitaram Kedilaay Ji, who was the All India Seva Pramukh of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, had last year started his PadYatra on August 9, 2012 from Kanya Kumari. The PadYatra that has traversed through Kerala, Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat is now in Rajasthan. Urging villagers to "Know their motherland Bharat"..."Be Bhartiya"..."Make Bharat a Global Mentor" and advocating countrymen to..."Go towards the Cows"..."towards our Villages"...and "towards our Mother Nature", Shri Sitaram Kedilaay Ji walks around 10 to 12 kilometers every day. This way he has already traveled close to 4,000 kilometers across five states of the country. Each and every village where Shri Sitaram Ji visits gives a grand welcome to him. Villagers come over to listen to Shri Sitaram Kedilaay Ji with enthusiasm and dedication. Shri Sitaram Ji begins his PadYatra with cow worship at 6 AM in the morning, he then plants tree saplings in the next village. Other activities in the village include informal talks with school children, attending the village Satsang Sabha, meetings with village professionals such as vaidyas (doctors) and artisans such as barbers, iron smiths, masons, farmers and former soldiers. Shri Sitaram Ji eats once a day through charitable alms collected from generous villagers. On August 9, Shri Sitaram Ji was in Badnor village of Bhilwara district in Rajasthan, which incidentally is also the village of Mewar's brave warriors such as Shri Jaimal Singh and Shri Patta. The picture is from one of the events in these villages.
